So last night we’re out on the sidewalk outside of Vintage where we just had a wine tasting. I notice there are a bunch of trailers.. like the kind that are around when something is being filmed. In the corner of the window of one of the trailers there’s a piece of paper that says “Law & Order: Criminal Intent“. I started getting excited and taking photos of the trailer and the sign since Law & Order is one of my favorite shows. Meanwhile, back on the sidewalk, everyone else is discussing how Criminal Intent is their least favorite Law & Order show. I get back to the group and Ted is doing his best Vincent D’Onofrio imitation, being all serious and striking a pose, when who walks up directly behind him? Vincent D’Onofrio. We asked if we could take a picture with him and he paused and then said “yes”. You’d think he’d be asked this all the time and he’d immediately say “yes” or “no”, but it was like he actually paused to think about it. As we all arranged around Vincent and handed my camera we were reminded by one of “his people” that “Vincent has a tight schedule, he only has a minute!”

Law & Order/Pizza
I’ve been on a Law & Order kick lately. I don’t know why, since I usually don’t like formulaic plots and it doesn’t get much more formulaic than L&O. I only like the original (no SVU or CI, please) and I much prefer the Jerry Orbach/Sam Waterston epis…

Vincent D’Onofrio is a very nice guy. I first saw him while working as the bouncer at a well known tavern. (To protect Vincent’s privacy — you ain’t gonna get that info.) I was walking towards his end of the bar to share some news with one of the bar tenders. Approaching Vincent I said “Hi,” simply thinking he was recognizable because he was just another friend and patron. But as I was standing there talking — I thought of Kubrik. Yeah! It’s Pvt Pyle.
I got the impression that Vincent had several favorite places from 14th to SOHO. The waitresses always melted when he was around, and had something to say to them. Additionally Vincent taught me his fine art of “running incognito” and staying under people’s radar.
I had some fun with that. Because the WV TH I lived in rented for about $60.0K/YR, many tourist types and weekenders often mistook me for some moneyed celeb type. (I shared the rent with roommates. Doesn’t everybody?) The “VD’O Incognito Factor” made the experience more fun and amusing. A very funny experience occurred one morning when Liv Tyler (shopping for a TH or apt I presume) stopped me coming out the front door of the TH and asked who I was. That’s another story.
PS: RachellB rocks

Why is vincent still so hot? I’m 22 he’s 47 but for f…’s sake i do love him. He’s just a big guy with a small nose and gray hair (by now). But he has this charme and i do love his voice and the way he just is. I adore him in Criminal Intent. He’s my wet dream. I’m so jealous. I save some money so I can spend my next vacation in NY. Maybe I’ll be lucky and met him.

Vincent D’onofrio is an absolute dream. When I first started watching Criminal Intent, I thought he irratated me…then I realized he captivated me….and now I’m completely smitten. And that’s putting it lightly.

I love Vincent too!! In fact I recently won an award at a public speech forum I belong to with my speech on Vincent himself! I was so happy to research him and talk about his accomplishments, that all that enthusiasim poured out into my speech and I was more than happy to accept the award. I only have Vincent to thank, after all, without him as my subject, I wouldn’t have been able to talk with such passion!
