Kelly & Jeff have two ragdoll mix cats, Boss & Sedona. Boss is about 4 years old, is named after Bruce Springsteen and has 6 “fingers” on each of his front paws. Sedona is less than a year old (maybe 6 months?) and is named after Sedona, AZ, which is near where Kelly & Jeff were married. I am allergic to both Boss & Sedona and sneezed the entire time I was in their house. But they’re so adorable!

I spent this Thanksgiving at Kelly & Jeff’s with my Aunt Sue. This is the second year we’ve all gotten together in Virginia to celebrate. Family, turkey, football, and games: these are a few of my favorite things.

I’ll be in the DC/VA area for the Thanksgiving Holiday again this year. Don’t expect any updates. I think Kelly may have even mentioned that their computer is broken right now.. gasp! Happy Thanksgiving.

When my parents were visiting I took them to Porto Rico Importing Co. on Bleecker Street. The selection of coffee & teas inside is astounding. My dad asked a cashier if he could take a photograph of their store and he was told that he couldn’t. Little did they know that I had been in the store a few weeks beforehand buying some chocolate coffee and had already taken several photos then.

Every year Jeannette & Yvan have a Thanksgiving party. Last year it was post-Thanksgiving and I wasn’t able to attend because I was just returning from Florida. This year because of schedules, the party was pre-Thanksgiving and luckily I was able to make it. Jeannette & Yvan invited just a few people over… something like 25! Jeannette made a turkey and a few other dishes and everyone brought food over. There was so much to eat! I stuffed myself silly. My contribution to the spread was homemade pecan pie that I had made the night before. Everything was so yummy! My stomach is all stretched out and I’m prepped for next week when I have Thanksgiving with Kelly, Jeff & Sue in VA.
