Rachelle & RubyJoin me in wishing Ruby a happy birthday! Ruby and I have been through a lot - she even moved across the country with me. For three years Ruby has put up with my daily torment. She is still going pretty strong (knock on wood). Happy birthday, Ruby!

tien, you just give me the drinks for ruby.. and .. ill.. uh.. make sure she gets them!

  • 5 tien // Oct 20, 2003 at 9:57 pm

sounds like a plan. and does giving you drinks make your face turn the same color as ruby’s body?

  • 6 rachelleb // Oct 20, 2003 at 10:37 pm

dont be lookin at my baby’s body!!!!

no birthday greetings from uncle mark? he has had such input in how ruby has grown up and developed.. he was even there when i adopted ruby… he may have even introduced us!! ruby will be sad..

tien! she’s only 3, you pervert!

actually, how does that translate into human years?

(my fave ruby vid.. shows off the curves quite well)

  • 11 NG // Oct 21, 2003 at 8:52 am

you’re a goof. what i want to know is - how the heck do you remember the day you got ruby? do you remember the day you met me? ha ha

  • 13 lili // Oct 21, 2003 at 9:20 am

    ~~Go Ruby it’s your birthday get busy!~~~
    Woo-Hoo…Happy 3rd B-day Ruby!
(hope comp.’s aren’t like kids- the terrible 3s)

  • 14 tien // Oct 21, 2003 at 9:58 am

hmm…3 in computer years has got to be of age. i mean, the lifespan of a computer is maybe 5 years? since the life expectancy for women in this country is now 80 years, ruby would be around 48-ish? so i think it’s okay for me to comment on her curves.

  • 15 joel // Oct 21, 2003 at 11:06 am

    “ahem. .. she’s not ‘red’!!!!!!”

    hmmm .. well ok then.

    Happy Birthday little rose-colored computer!

    scarlet?
    crimson?
    vermillion?

  • 16 rachelle // Oct 21, 2003 at 11:07 am

    uh.. hello!? RUBY!!!!!!!

  • 17 joel // Oct 21, 2003 at 11:15 am

    BAAAHH I’M JUST PLAYIN’!!@$@#$ ;-D

    HAPPY BIRFDAYZ RUBY!!!

  • 18 rachelle // Oct 21, 2003 at 11:29 am

better be playin! ruby is super-sensative about being confused with the strawberry imac. ew.

  • 19 scott // Oct 21, 2003 at 2:35 pm

People, people. Do you think Ruby needs to be exposed to this discussion of race?!? Strawberry, ruby, grape, etc…..I mean, aren’t we all basically the same in the Great Jobs’ eyes? (Except, of course the tangerine!)

  • 20 rachelle // Oct 21, 2003 at 3:33 pm

you’re right.. but i’ve still always had something against the lifesaver colored imacs - strawberry, lime, tangerine, grape and blueberry. they’re too cutesy.

happy birthday, ruby! you (and rachelle) have provided me with much good reading!

(btw, today is the first day i realized one could comment on your links. when did you start that? i’m so out of it…)

    Happy Birthday, Ruby!

My Mr. Indigo will turn 3 in two months. Since I’m moving to SF I wasn’t sure I could bring him with me. According to my dealer the voltage will be now problem. I’m happy as a Mac that I don’t have to put him in a permanent sleep!

  • 23 rachelle // Oct 21, 2003 at 4:27 pm

jeannette - beginning of the summer? or so? i was going to tell you when you kept commenting on the main blog posts instead of the link blog, but i kept forgetting.

richard - happy early birthday to mr. indigo. where are you moving from again? i remember seeing it on your site but now i cant remember!

Did you buy it on a Tuesday
    You could have called
Ruby Tuesday by the Rolling Stones
She would never say where she came from
Yesterday don’t matter if its gone
    While the sun is bright
    Or in the darkest night
    No one knows
    She comes and goes
Who could hang a name one you
When you change with every new day
Don’t question why, she needs to be free
She’ll tell you its the only way to be free
    She just can’t be chained
To a life where nothings gained
    And nothing lost
    At such a cost
There’s no time to lose , I heard her say
Catch your dreams before they slip away
    Dying all the time
    Lose your dreams
    And lose your mind
    Ain”t life unkind
    Happy Birthday Ruby
