thanks. i just snapped these off when we were walking from the triple 5 soul sample sale to the coffee shop to waste some time before seeing kill bill.
these photos are great! I was talking to a friend of mine in new york on saturday as she was walking up 7th… she said it was a beautiful crisp day, blue sky - you captured it so well!
i’m glad you guys like them. willo, these were actually taken friday night, the central park photos were taken saturday when you spoke with your friend. regardless, the weather was similar both days. . really nice, warm sun, crisp air.. perfect autumn days.
kill bill is brilliant. very violent, but i loved the music, the editing, the camera work. and it was funny.
under the tuscan sun sounded interesting when i first heard about it.. and that it was based on a true story. . then i started reading about the true story and about how they changed the movie so much to make it all “hollywood” and so it would sell to the masses and made it into a cheesy chick flick and then i had no interest in seeing it. hint: she didn’t buy the house on a whim, it took her years do it and to fix it up, she didnt meet a sexy italian stud, etc. .. stuff that would be “too boring” to make a movie with mass appeal about.
they’re saying it’s his most violent film. but i felt like it was less graphic. like someone’s head gets chopped off and the blood sprays so rediculously that you cant help but laugh. still there are some pretty gross parts. you love pulp fiction so you should go see it. amanda might get grossed out though.
I do like Pulp Fiction, but I don’t think Amanda’s even ever seen it. And we have it on video. We havn’t been able to see too many movies latley. I guess that’s what comes with haveing kids. In fact, the last movie we saw at the theatre was with you.
Studios Killing (but Carefully) for an R Rating is a good article in the NYT today about how the violence in Kill Bill & Texas Chainsaw Massacre (the remake) was cut down & “stylized” to ensure an R rating, as opposed to an NC-17 rating that would be detrimental to sales.
