Back-to-back, last night I watched the first 3 episodes of HBO’s new series, Carnivale. It’s set in the 1930′s Dust bowl and follows the travels of a carnival that takes in a mysterious teenager who discovers he has the ability to heal. Many have compared it to David Lynch‘s work in Twin Peaks, which I’ve never seen. It’s sinister, spooky, mysterious, weird, supernatural, and strange. iloveit!

I keep telling Amanda that we should get HBO because there are all kinds of neat shows that we never get to see. She doesn’t agree.
I used to agree with Amanda, but HBO has so many good shows on it now.. plus if you get digital cable, you can watch the series and movies any time you want to. I don’t really go to the video store any more. It also helps that TWC gives you a discount if you have digital + cable modem.
Damn. Wisconsinites rise early.
i love this show! i saw the first episode in a hotel while i was in atlanta at a wedding.
i downloaded the 2nd episode off kazaa. i’m looking forward to seeing future episodes. fun and freaky!
We do have digital cable and that was one of my selling points. She didn’t bite. We don’t rent movies anymore either. We just buy them using iControl on our digital cable. Or sometimes I check them out from the library for free.
8:00 is early?
GREAT show! I don’t have hbo either … but like everything else these days, if there’s a will there’s a way. Go to http://www.suprnova.org, do a little reading up on what bittorrent is, and you’re well on your way to watching hbo programming. hope that helps a little bit.
