Comedy Central Presents, Hudson Theater, Times Square, Manhattan
I managed to get my hands on 4 passes to a taping of Comedy Central Presents, so Mark, Eleanor, Jeannette and I went up last night to see it. This is the program on Comedy Central that features stand-up comedians.
It was interesting to see the behind the scenes work that goes into taping the show. On our pass it warned that since we’d be on camera we should dress “hip” but that we shouldn’t wear white, shorts, t-shirts or hats.. but aren’t t-shirts and hats what all the “hipsters” wear? I guess they wanted hip, but not that hip. The show was filmed at the Hudson Theater, the second oldest theater in New York. We had to wait on line outside for about an hour. When we got in the crowd was prepped. The emcee was really funny and warned us to turn cell phones off, etc. He also got us warmed up and ready to laugh. The comedians that came on, Bob Oschack and Paul Mercurio, were both pretty funny. I’ve seen worse, I’ve seen better.
thanks for the invite! that was a fun experience. i don’t think i have laughed that hard in a long while (esp. at the booty-shakin older gentleman)!
glad you had fun
Hi Rachel,
I wanted to know if you could tell me how to get tickets or passes to go see Comedy Central Presents. I’ve searched through the web and couldn’t find anything. If you could write me back and give me a idea I would appreciate it. Thank you.

I think you guys made a mistake by not picking up wanda does it for a second season. That is the only reason anybody turns to your channel as far as I know. And the reason? People can’t tell the difference between improv and reality. Give me an example of that.
Ha ha, she thinks this is the Comedy Central website.
