Hurricane Isabel’s Bitchy Little Sister Arrived Today

September 23rd, 2003 · 10 Comments

It’s raining sideways outside and I sit here at work soaked head to foot with no shoes on, i think they may be ruined. This is what we smart-assed New Yorkers get for saying “Hurricane wha?” last week. Does anyone have some spare pants? I’m freezing.

ick. jeans and non-waterproof boots are NOT the thing to wear when it’s pouring out.

  • rachelle

also, don’t wear open-back mary janes – they will pool full of water and make walking difficult. i am at home changing into dry clothing right now. living close to work has benefits sometimes.

has it stopped raining (i am nowhere near a window at work)? for days like this it seems best to pack a change of clothes in a waterproof bag to change into at work.

  • Jeannette

yeah – days like this def. warrant an extra change of clothes in a plastic bag. blech!

rachelle – this chocolate fountain worries me. what happens if there’s a double-dipper? does that taint the whole fountain? maybe i should just get you a fondue set?

  • rachelle

    i’ve never had fondue!

  • jeannette

never had fondue??? man, we’re gonna have to remedy that. recipe: chocolate and fruit. directions: melt chocolate, dip fruit into melted chocolate. eat and enjoy!
