Baby Did a Bad Bad Thing

July 29th, 2003 · 18 Comments

Chris IsaakOn Sunday I met up with Kristin and Michelle for brunch at The Tomato (I highly recommend the pancakes with caramelized apple, banana & pecans in a butter rum sauce). The song Baby Did a Bad Bad Thing by Chris Isaak came on and we all commented how much we like it. Today, I’ve become somewhat obsessive and have listened to Baby Did a Bad Bad Thing 34 times in a row and don’t plan on stopping any time soon.

Funny, I just listened to this CD last night!

I was inspired after reading a great review of his concert at the Beacon in Monday’s New York Times.

I saw him live at Summerfest before the BoDeans a few years back. He rocked…in a cool suit made of mirrors!

    Cheers,

    Brian

ok. so maybe i’m the only freak who’d listen to a song 34x in a row. i once listened to blackbird by the beatles 60 times in one day after hearing it played in a club the night before.

okay, 34 times is a lot, 60 times might be downright insane. the worst i’ve done is listen to 5 songs all day at work. that’s usually pre or post concert.

Dreams of Our Fathers by Dave Matthews Band. When I first got Everyday, I got stuck on that song, and listened to it over and over again.

Right now, it’s a toss-up between Cibo Matto’s “Clouds” and Ravel’s Son. Blues (Moderato), performed by Regis Pasquier et Brigitte Engerer. :D

I don’t know about a song, but I can listen to the album Achtung Baby by U2 over and over again

I’m a musician in a cover band, so I’ll sit in front of my computer and listen to the same song for 3-4 hours to learn harmonies, chords, etc. Last night it was Alison Krauss’ “Lucky One”; the night before was Devo’s “Whip It” (only for 1 hr.–too damned repetitive!).

more than listening to just one song over and over again, I usually listen to an entire album, then again, repeat … over and over.

the last three have been, oldest to most recent
    - Cave In, Jupiter
    - the Flaming Lips, Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots
    - The Mars Volta, De-Loused in the Comatorium

all amazing albums front to back.
