    if you have a day to drive … drive east for a few hours and check out the mountains and what’s beyond. That was incredibly relaxing for me.

    Glass museum in Tacoma.

    didn’t get to go, BUT, the rainforest.

    a mariners game. they are fun (even more fun than a mets game with me) and they have garlic fries. mmmm…stinky…

    also check out fremont (artsy neighborhood and home to the giant troll) and if you like seafood, go to ivar’s salmon house (http://www.ivars.net/) where my mom used to work 30 years ago! :)

    If you have time drive through Mt. Rainier Nat’l Park. Stop at Paradise and stretch your legs. The wildflowers will blow you away. Bring a camera. Pike Place is a must. Space Needle is cool if it is a sunny day. Check out a Mariners game if they are in town. The new stadium is cool.

    go to the green room..it’s attached to the showbox on first…good atmosphere and bar food..and see if there is a good show playing that night…or, in the market, there is a place called theater sports…an improve group. that’s always a riot..like a whose line is it anyways sort of thing…they’ve been around awhile…..tini bigs…ooh..and go listen to the monks chant at st. marks on capitol hill…have fun..
