What Everyone’s Been Waiting For..

Arriving at baggage claim in Milwaukee I found Jessica, Stephanie & Amanda waiting for me. Jess was wide awake & alert. Steph is growing like crazy and was a lot taller than I’d expected. Amanda looked fantastic for just having a baby.

In the car ride to Oak Creek, Stephanie told me all about her summer classes, Computers and Art. She’ll soon be starting German, too. When we got home I couldn’t wait to get Jess out of her carrier and hold on to her. This is my first time holding her. I think she pooped her pants.

Steph & I played Mancala, a game I used to always play with her parents, while we waited for my mom & dad and her dad to get there.

One of the gifts I brought were hand-made finger puppets that I purchased from an artist on the street in SoHo. I thought that Steph could play with these with Jess.

Finger puppet rabbit ears.

Both mom & dad and Richard & Amanda bought me Cheddarwurst since they saw me writing about it on my website.

Dad hand-picked a flat of strawberries that morning and brought them down.

Stephanie & Jessica

I could never get Jess to burp after I fed her. She always just fell asleep.

When Bailey wants to play he runs up and down the hallway trying to provoke Shorty.

Most of the time Shorty just sits there with an “I am not amused” look on his face. Just wait until they get a dog!

Sometimes he sticks his tongue out and tells Bailey to go away.

The next day was hot and sunny so we decided to go swimming and since Richard and Amanda are moving to their new house in August so we decided it was probably one of our last opportunities to make use of the apartment’s facilities.

Mom & Dad

Stephie looked really silly with her goggles on.

I looked even sillier.

The goggles leave marks all over Steph’s face.

Richard in the hot tub.

Jessica chilled out in the shade.

It started thundering so we walked back home. This hat was a little too big for Jess, but looked cute anyway.

Eating at the The Charcoal Grill. Mom told me to make a happy face for the photo.

Jessica takes time out to do Yoga.

Jess sleeping. Kind of looks like a gangsta pose.

Another gift I brought for Stephanie was a book called My Little Sister Ate One Hare by Bill Grossman & Kevin Hawkes

Steph and I secretly got married and got tattoo rings. By the end of the day the rings had rubbed off and we decided that we were no longer married.

Making strawberry jam.

Jess

Steph is sooo ticklish.

Richard caught Stephanie and I doing the YMCA across the street from their apartment when we were coming home from an after-dinner walk.

Thanks, guys. Hey, you didn’t have any problem with the launch page did you? It’s completely apparent that there are 3 sections of photos, right?

  • tien

yeah, it was pretty easy to figure out…especially after looking at it for about 5 minutes. no, just kidding.

Wow ! These are awesome Rachelle ! Thanks for the memories…

I finished the 75 mile inline skate in Minnesota this weekend. http://www.sun75.com to read all about it ! Needless to say, I’m a little sore.

    Back to work.

I love ‘em! Esp Jess’s huge feet! Great job with the story telling too. The bowling shoes on Jess cracked me up. Oh and the swimming goggles on you. What a hoot!

  • Kelly

I loved them. I was thinking of emailing Dick to ask for his pictures but you had them posted!! Just in time…I was getting a little antsy. I’d be willing to wager a guess that Steph whooped you guys at mini golf.

Look at little Jessica sleeping so peacefully, not a care in the world. Awwwww…

  • rachelle

steph wasn’t the mini golf winner and i’m proud to say I beat her (barely)

  • Richard

I actually have visual evidence of who won mini golfing (i took a photo of the score card), but i wont say is shell doesnt want me to. No, it wasn’t steph.

  • rachelle

You can say if you want to. .. i just meant that I didn’t win. I suck at mini golf and bowling.. but those are things i only do once a year or every other year so I have an excuse.

  • Richard

    we all sucked at bowling

i didn’t have problems with the launch page. it was apparent to me that there were 3 photo sections. not sure if that was immediately apparent to all users, though? seems like folks didn’t have a problem, though, from the looks of your comments.
