my two bags are still in the fridge. i dont know what im going to do with them. i ate a few.. but you can only eat so many. lots of people i was going to share with arent around and jeannette doesnt seem as eager for them as she once was. how long before they lose the squeak?
yeh, that’s what i was going to say. anyone from wi knows about the cheese curd squeak. well, if they’re not gone this weekend I’ll bring them to work on monday.. squeak or no squeak.
cheese curds? what do they taste like? i dont think i’ve even seen them in the stores.
oh, and i thought the coffin was going to be much more elaborate than that. i was picturing it on a hill with grass and flowers and stuff, even a tombstone.
if you could get them in the stores here i wouldnt go through the trouble of getting a cooler and ice and bringing them home from wi
i also brought home chedderwurst, swisswurst and some homemade strawberry jam that richard and amanda and i made from fresh strawberries my dad picked while i was there.
tien.. if they’re fresh they do squeak. i would have rather bought them from a dairy, but since i was in the milwaukee area i had to get them at the supermarket.
I once forced my kids to eat cheese curds because they had been whining. Some of them hadn’t heard the analogy of “cheese and wine,” while some of them asked for the wine. BTW, I still can’t get over this picture….ofoto….I’m going to have to make my first purchase. LOOK AT WHAT YOU’VE DONE SheLL!!
that’s an awesome photo. such a contrast between jess’s contemplative look and you and stephie grinning on top. is stephie ON you, rachelle?
i totally see the family resemblance…
yeah that is a great picture
100 percent AWESOME!!!
Looks great! I’m waiting for you to put out a little albumn.
jeannette.. she is on me. she’s a climber!
nice photo.
those cheese curds you bought when i took you to the store looked so good that i had to buy some for myself. im eating some right now. yum.

I think they’re good for several days before they lose their squeak. I’m impressed – many people aren’t aware of the squeak factor.
our bag is almost gone. i like cheese.
i would be very disappointed is a native wisconsinite did not know about the squeak.

What in the world is a cheese curd?
They are my favorite food! (along with whey of course).
i think the name can easily be confused with cheese turds, which i guess are different. so they actually squeak?
Little Miss Muffet knows what she’s talking about.

i dont know how much you actually helped with the jam. i guess you did help me put some in the jars.
in all seriousness, cheese curds are one of my favorite foods. the deep fried ones are good too. sometimes we get them at culvers instead of fries.
all cheese is gross -sorry

I think you should clarify that by saying “your kids” you don’t mean your actual offspring or your cats…
squeak when you chew? squeak when they are moved? is there a reason for the squeaking?
make poutine with the cheese curd!
i cant decide if that looks disgusting or delicious…
Rachelle – I love this picture – it actually bought a tear to my eye (but I think I am hormonal too!!!!)
Glad you liked my pics too, that means a lot to me!
