Home, where my thought’s escaping
Home, where my music’s playing
Home, where my love lies waiting
Silently for me
Ok. so none of that is true.. but if you haven’t caught the subtle hints lately, I’ll be going home for about a week. Don’t expect many, if any, updates.

Home, where my thought’s escaping
You never think of us? Not even your brand new neice whom you’ve never met?
Home, where my music’s playing
The first night that you are here, we’re going to a concert! Of a band that you want to see!
Home, where my love lies waiting
As far as love, who knows where you may find it.

…but each town looks the same to me…
…the movies and the factories…
…and ev’ry stranger’s face I see…
…reminds me that I long to be…
…homeward bound.

re: the Flaming Lips item in your “Links”

I think Mom used to get mad at me when she would ask “when are you coming home?” and I would reply “I am home, I live in Milwaukee.”

I just came back from 2 weeks in Chicago to catch up with my huge family
It’s so good to get out of NYC for a while (especially in the summer). I’m more relaxed now… Have a great time in Wisco!

I had one of those nights too - zero sleep. You’ll have to hold me up at the Ben Folds concert tonight.
Can’t wait to see you!

I actually got quite a bit of sleep last night (about 6.5 hours). Jessica was being a good girl.
FYI - Most Wisconsinites dislike being refered to as ‘cheese heads’.

I hope you read this before you hit the road Rachelle, have a safe trip!
“Most Wisconsinites dislike being refered to as ‘cheese heads’.” I didnt know! All the dough AT&T spent giving me diversity training (when I used to work there) and they never mentioned this!
I was in once Milwaukee many moons ago. So long ago that PBR was still brewed there and the Brewers were in the American League and I saw them beat the Boston Rod Sox an old stadium.
Anyway have a pleasant visit out there.
One last thing, my song for today’s postings.
“That was some exam, really had to cram
now it’s all behind got Blue Ribbon on my mind.
I’ve got a taste for livin’, I’m drinking cold Blue Ribbon.
I’ve got Pabst Blue Ribbon on my mind!”

ChrisM - if you live in NYC and by any chance happen to see the NY Times Magazine from a week or two ago (Amari Stoudomire on the cover, Ph. Suns bball player) pick it up. There’s a great article on the (lack of) marketing that the people at PBR do and how it’s gaining market share solely for being the beer-of-choice for all those hipster kids. Really great read.
Rachelle - I’ve actually done that, forgotten “undergarments”, when I used to travel down to CT for the weekends. I’ve learned to keep spare clothes at mom’s place.
and finally .. that cat stevens’ song is so NOT a ripoff of Fight Test. Lotta hooey!
