Every morning the man who stands on our block says to me, in his thick New York accent, “Good moh-ning, dah-ling. How-ah-ya? Have a good day.”
Last night outside of the Screening Room, one middle-aged, poorly-dressed woman says to another: “I love what you’re wearing! Is that Tar-gay?” I think she meant “Tar-jay” as in “Target“.

tar-jay is nothing compared to people referring to parade of shoes as “parada”!!!
i never heard that one – parada… that’s a good one. the funniest part of their whole interaction was that she said tar-gay.. with a hard “G”.. instead of tar-jay.
