  Sadly, I thought the same thing. This resulted in a near arrest when I was Slim Goodbody for Halloween in college.

  This can’t be the same Slim we watched 20 years ago. I know he’s healthy and all- but his liver doesn’t look a day over 35. Why does he look kind of like Richard Simmons? Oh yeah- because they’re both super healthy.

  I also believed Slim to be naked. However, that was after I spent some time (circa 4 years old) thinking offhandedly that he had no skin below his neck, and was parading his actual exposed organs. Later I realized this was improbable, and that the nudity theory was more realistic. I hadn’t even heard of a leotard.

  Hey guys… just to let you know Im on a mission to desperately contact SlimGoodBody aka John Burnstein… so in hopes that he will read this heres my email I tried to send the info center praying it would reach his bloody inside out hands.

  Hey there,

  First off I’d like to ask how the scientist, bum guy, and the school dictator are doing? Just letting ya know sitting here at 3:00 in the morning watching Slim Goodbody and all his helpful advice and tips.

  But I would like to draw your attention to the episode about eating healthy… if you notice in the “food generals” classroom the kid in the back room all the way to the right forgot to say “Yes sir” and to add insult to injury then yawned afterwards. I was taken aback by this childs lack of ethusiasm for the “food generals” 5 star program. If you could make a remake of this episode and maybe cut out the kid in the back row… that would be great.

  Second of all I would like to congratulate you on the awesome space footage earlier tonight. Those astronaughts *btw you should definitely make a show on how to spell astronaught* were crazy when they were eating all that jello and bananas. If I could add one thing to that segment to make it perfect… it would be nothing because it was already so perfect.

  Also I was very excited to see that you have your tour dates posted and the fact that I can get into both shows for just 2 dollars more is phenominal. The main concern that I would have about going to one of said shows is if the spandex suit is still rocking out in style? Cause if so I’m totally there.

  Also just came to my mind… remember when you did that show on like “Cleaning your pores” and that dirt ball was all coming toward your hole and you were like singing about it, well kinda singing kinda hiding in fear from the dirtball. But did you realize that that person body had trees all over it? Was this a glitch in the camera… or is that person a ENT *aka tree people*?

  Well theres so much more that I would like to ask you, but will save all those pentup questions deep inside until I get the return email… which with a guy as nice and smart as you I most suredly will.

  As a former Slim Goodbody Employee, I played Bill Strong, Slim Goodbody’s Best Friend, doing the live shows and wearing the famous suit, I can state that not only is John aka Slim straight but married with kids.

  I also played Bill Strong (really, we all called ourselves Slim on the road, didn’t we?) for a year. I still have the suit, and this year I’m pulling it out and being Slim’s evil twin brother! BWAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!! Slim does crack! “Up and down, here I am, up and down I’m your diaphram!” Yeah baby…

  Thats not the real slim goodbody, he was in his 30’s in 75 whent he show began, he’d be 60 now, im pretty sure thats a sim goodbody replacement…i mean imposter. I vividly remember his jerry curl encompassing his head more, and his unitard of organy delight much was more detailed. Long Live the real slim goodbody!

  Slim Goodbody still active today. Recently looks like just ended his tour this month. There a news about him which it is today.

  I just read an MSNBC article that said the body costumes cost $4,000 apiece!
  Ha Ha to all of the funny comments, but seriously, the target audience is pretty difficult to reach, with their short attention spans. OBVIOUSLY I’d feel ashamed, too, if I were a grown man watching slim goodbody for my own entertainment…
  I discovered the show when my own kids were watching PBS kids programming, and since I was working on my doctorate in nutrition education, I thought he was pretty slick, I mean, slim, I mean, well, anyway, I thought it was a good idea…

  i finally made my own slim goodbody costume and it worked out great at a party of about 500 people. i am going to sell it next year on ebay before halloween. it cost about $100 and 5 hours time to make it.

  I have been trying to find one of these costumes everywhere but have had no such luck. I wonder if they have a copyright against the mass production of this costume. It would be a hit if I could sell them. Also a little scary. Mullet wigs would also come with it. Theres a business in front party in back in all of us.

  I just saw his live show with my kids yesterday (10/30/2006). It is the SAME Slim Goodbody and yes, he’s around 60. My kids LOVED him, just as I did when I was 6 (30 years ago!).
