  Morning Shell.
  wish we lived closer together. We could go out for brunch. I too am doing nothing today.
  I ran a full marathon yesterday in Chicago. Kinda have a couple sore toes and one bruised ankle. Lots of mixed and ever changing terrain makes it a lot tougher for me. I came in 583 our of 650 runners. Small.My time was 5:15:33 My 1/2 Marathon was slow, 2:27:01. Next weekend is another marathon, remember, San Diego, but not 650 people, it’ll be 25,000 people. Dad is in Florida this week.
  We’re going to be painting the house again if you want to come home and “mindlessly” paint here !

  mom - are you going to feel better by next weekend for the marathon? what color are you painting the house? we painted the inside of mary’s first floor apartment. she and her husband live on the 2nd and 3rd floors. a victorian-style house, it reminded me of my apartment on drew st and the one on state st in appleton. so nice and big with a big sun porch. they were teasing me about moving in and i was tempted.

  Shell, I should not run another marathon for a few weeks or even months. I can walk. I know I can. But I have a plane to catch. with that many runners they are starting you out in groups. I’m in the 14th group (by your predicted finish time) so instead of starting at 6:45 it may be 7:30 ! And if it takes me 5 hours or more, we’re talking 1pm Then a man we talked to last weekend said that last year it took him 2 hours to get through the people at the finish line. But I have to keep on running at the finish line coz our plane leaves at 3:30 ! ! ! hhmmm. I may opt out too… But it’s the first full marathon that I’ll get a “certificate” I’ve got many trophys and medals and stuff, but never a “CERTIFICATE” so I gotta do it ! I’ll rest the month of JUNE ! ! ! I have to start blading for our 75mile event in JULY ! ha ~!

  mary, when i got back to my apartment i was so tempted to run back out there and sign our lease!!!!!! ahhhhhh!!!
