Warning Sign: “Do not through garbage hear no more. Please put it across the street in the bin area. Thank you.”, East Village, Manhattan

Corrected: “Throw”

Corrected: “Here is correct. Hear is to listen to the sound of my pen correcting your grammar”
This sign was posted on a construction area in the East Village. People have gone by and corrected the sign author’s grammar. This reminded me of my cousin Kelly. The English teacher. Who used to always correct my grammar when I was talking! So frustrating!!!!

yeah, i couldn’t help but notice that “niece” was spelled “neice” on the manor house snob quiz. i should get a least a couple more points for that.

Grammer and punctuation errors bother me as well. Proofing is a key part of my job, so it makes sense.
