Aida at the Palace Theater, Times Square, Manhattan
Tonight I experienced my first Broadway musical, Aida. It’s the story of a love triangle. An egyptian captain is scheduled to marry an Egyptian princess but falls in love with a captured Nubian slave named Aida. The lyrics were written by Tim Rice and the music was composed by Elton John. Fantastic. The talent that was on that stage tonight is difficult to comprehend.. and to do it 1-2 times a day, 7 days a week has to be unbelievably stressing and require such a high level of dedication. The show tonight made me want to resolve to see fewer movies and more theater.
