DUMBO=Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass. The people that live in DUMBO live in Brooklyn basically under the Manhattan and Brooklyn bridges & their immediate surrounding areas.
While in Jeannette’s building, I feebly attempted to stalk Mos Def, who also resides there, by randomly taking photographs of the mailboxes in her lobby. The doorman, who likes to be called the concierge, tried to make me stop by telling me it was a federal offense to photograph mailboxes. I think he was just being flirtatious.

ok, is jeannette a fan and if not does she realize that he’s one of the most influential rappers alive today? man, I *so* wish I could hang out with Mos Def for, like, an afternoon.

she lives in mos def’s building AND she has a t-1. i don’t think i fully appreciate either stroke of luck.
dude - that 2nd photo looks pretty bleak. like a big garbage dump. yikes.
i vaguely know who mos def is (topdog/underdog). i remember hearing that he’s a rapper. i’ve seen his mom and entourage come in and out of the building, but i don’t know if i’ve seen him.
ben vereen lives in my building. i definitely know who he is. does that count for anything?

I love everything about mos def. he has a company in dumbo too… i love him since flatbush. if i could touch him i’d probably pass out.

I saw mos def today he was in dumbo i work on the same floor as his company it was amazing (male) it sounds type gay but wait i seen stars b4 but today when i saw mos def it was like a new awakeing I’m a rapper myself (Ares 18year old form brooklyn )but i fell off but today i got my mojo back(lol) just being able to stand next mos and take a picture with him it was like wow
