Really? Everytime I bring something like this up with the Time Warner people at San Diego they say they can't do that. Now I know better :)

I've been in the East Coast now for a little over a week. Flew into Philly and then drove to Maryland. And I will be here for the next 6+ weeks (depending on how this project goes)

I never understood why Time Warner charges me prorated charges if I start a new service in the middle of the month (like when I got my digital cable). But if my internet connection goes down, they don't credit me for that.

Oh it was snowing here in Maryland and in DC this past weekend

Time Warner Cable may be the kings of corporate idiocy. We called them 3 times this weekend and they were just like "hmm.. well.. it should be up within a few hours." My roommate even tryed to pull some crap saying we worked from home and desperately needed our internet connection (I think she could see the madness settling upon me).

They couldn't schedule a technician to come by until Monday morning.. hmm.. sometime between 8 & noon.. so I had to stay home from work. When the tech got there he told me that construction workers doing work on our roof knocked the entire building out. Now, you'd think TWC would recognize that they had tons of people calling from the same address and realize that the connection to the building was messed up, but no... instead they had a bunch of technicians going to apartments all in our same building. The guy who came to my apt had several appointments today in my building and was talking on a walkie talkie to a couple guys who were in the building at the exact same time! Made me SO mad. So rediculous and the people manning the phones at TWC, and their supervisors who we spoke to, are useless.

Mom: it was in the 60s here on Saturday and on Sunday it snowed in some parts.. I didn't see it, I only saw rain, but Mark (NJ) said he saw snow and so did Jeannette (Brooklyn) so we must have gotten it.

Dick: That is one of the books you got me .. thanks!
