Which isn’t to say it wasn’t good. Roman Polanski’s The Pianist is about a musician, a Polish Jew, trapped in wartime Warsaw. It’s Wladyslaw Szpilman’s true story. It made me think about the people who I know who have been in wars and what they’ve been through and seen. And it made me think about the possible impending war with Iraq. If this movie doesn’t make you anti-war, nothing will.
