I’m in the money

February 28th, 2003 · 4 Comments

JeepI just received confirmation today that my Jeep, which I haven’t seen since September 2001 and sold in February 2002, was finally paid off as of February 11, 2003! There will always be a soft spot in my heart for her.

Also, I just noticed a mysterious deposit into my account today. At first I thought that work was being extra generous with my paycheck this pay cycle. Then I thought maybe I’d gotten a bonus for the industry award that a website I worked on just received. The most logical explanation, I finally concluded, is that my federal tax rebate was direct deposited into my account and by coincidence it happened on the same day I got paid. If the latter is the case, it was processed unbelievably fast. Whatever the reason for this windfall, I’ll take it!

Maybe the money’s from your sugar daddy? Or your secret admirerer? Or stalker who knows your bank routing numbers?

You’re so freakin organized. You did your taxes already?? Wow. I guess the point is not to let the govt keep your money for any longer than it has to.

    How was “talk to her”?

Talk to Her (Hable con ella), was good. Spanish, so subtitles. It’s basically about 2 guys who are involved with two women who are in comas and the guys become friends. There is a shrinking man scene that depicts a dream that one of the guys, Benigno, had. Hysterical. Actually, I don’t know if the scene was hysterical or if everyone in the theater was laughing uncontrollabley at this guy who had a really loud, weird laugh and he found the scene to be hysterical so he kept laughing and laughing, causing everyone else to laugh and laugh. The scene was funny, nonetheless. One other thing, I’m sure that Leonor Watling is a fine actress, but she spends 90% of this movie in a coma. She was definately cast for this role because she has the best boobs i’ve ever seen.. uh.. not that i’ve seen a lot….. or that i’m into that sort of thing..
