Total snowfall: 20 inches.
Total cost to NYC: $20 million, or $1 million/inch.

What a bizarre day. The city was basically shut down. Luckily, most people had off for President’s Day. People that ventured out were walking down the middle of the streets and acting like little kids.. sledding and running around.. throwing snowballs and making snow angels. Jess, Julie and I went out for lunch at 535. We called ahead to make sure they’d be open but when we got there they weren’t. So we walked around and finally found a place that was open – MacDougal’s Cafe. After lunch we played around in Washington Square Park and then went to Julie’s to warm up with hot chocolate and Rummikub and Joe Millionaire. Jess took some photos of the storm and us messing around, including one of Julie tackling me into the snow, that I’ll try to share soon.
