Snow blanketing NYC. I take an hour to get to work today. I’m taking The Scenic Route, as my dad would say…

Little bird trying to find shelter.

Slushy walk to Washington Square Park.

Chess tables that are at the West 3rd/MacDougal
entrance to Washington Square Park.

Walking into the park.

Dogs were going crazy playing in the snow
in the dog run and all over the park.

Washington Square Park.

Statue of Alexander Holley,
the father of the U.S. steel industry.

Walking to work now. I pass Minetta and have to take a photo. Why? Because I’m obsessed.

Banana Republic on the corner of 6th Avenue and
Bleecker Street in The Village.

Salt.

Everyone on Varick is walking to work.

Bike in the snow.

Footprints on Canal Street.

My reflection in a storefront on Canal Street.
Wow! This is the worst snowstorm I’ve been in for probably 3 years. I was out of town the other times it snowed a lot here, last winter it didn’t snow, and before that I was in San Diego. Seeing so much snow out my window this morning got me so excited that instead of coming right to work, I took The Scenic Route, as my dad would say.* So awesome.. I want to stay outside and play! (I’m sure I’ll be cursing this snow by the end of the day.
*Another thing my dad used to say when we were driving around – me or my would ask where we were going and my dad would say “Crazy, we’re going crazy!”.
