Duvet Cover

Last October. I bought a down comforter (LOVE IT) and yesterday I finally got a duvet cover. Thanks soo soo soomuch to Jess, who helped me purchase fabric from Jariel Fabrics (the owner, Jack, is awesome) in SoHo and then stayed up all night with me designing, measuring, cutting and sewing the duvet. I couldn’t have done it without her!!! .. think I’ll go take a nap now.. so tired!!!! and this cold. . bah!

Duvet Cover

Here’s a close up where you can see the richness of the color and the texture of the fabric. It’s satin-y but has a crinkle texture. Most of the top is gold and it’s hard to see in the photos, but the sides are burgandy. The back is also burgandy. I have these throw pillows of deep, bold colors that match perfectly. Next project: a curtain? or maybe getting a bedstand so I don’t have to use a cardboard box? or more shelving? It never ends…
