ok. this has pretty much bugged me since I moved here and I was talking to several people about it yesterday and no one seems to really know much about it.. so I throw it out to you… why? why? why do all soda cans in new york say “new york” on them?

This is for recycling purposes. When you go return the empty cans to a New York store, they only take the ones that have a “New York” label on it. This prevents people from other States dumping their garbage in New York for money.
