Ethiopian Cuisine

Last night I ate at an Ethiopian restaurant for the first time with Mark and Jessica. It was really good.. different than anything I’d ever had. We ordered 3 entrees and they came out all together on this huge dish. Then we each got a big piece of .. uh.. bread-like.. stuff. Kind of folded like a tortilla but not at all tasting like one. So, what you do is rip off peices of the bread and grab pieces of the entree with it. Everyone eats with their fingers off the same plate. We also tried Ethiopian beer. It’s really light and fruity and had a weird monkey on the label. Definately a good experience!

The Ethiopian restaurant that I was at is called Meskerem and is located on MacDougal between Bleecker and West 3rd in New York City.

When we went to P.F. Changs for Amanda’s birthday I was going to order Chinese beer, but I chickened out.

Tsing Tao is a chinese beer you would probably like. It’s really light. Was PF Changs good?

I thought it was good, but Amanda was kind of undecided. It was def. the nicest chineese restaurant i’ve been to.
