I saw a wonderful Indian film called Monsoon Wedding. It’s about a large Indian family coming together from around the world to Delhi to celebrate an arranged marriage. There are some deep issues that are kind of skimmed over that I think could have been explored more thoroughly or completely left out, but overall this movie is a joy. It’s funny from beginning to end, the characters are really well developed, and the music and dance sequences make you want to hop out of your seat. It’s only playing at 2 theaters in Manhattan, so I doubt it’s going to be available everywhere. If you get a chance to see it, go!
