I bought a kitchen set with some drawers in the Akurum line. The model number for the the entire cabinet unit is AA-67329-1. But I am not interested in the entire cabinet unit, only the drawers that fit into the top part of the cabinet. One of the drawers is assembled upside down and I can’t figure out how to dissasembe it and I am worried about damaging it while trying to take it apart. I figure that if I could recover the assembly instructions for the drawer I will be able to dissassemble it without damaging it.
Tell me about it after finally getting my Hemnes bunk beds, I discovered there were no assembly instructions not so much do it yourself as work it out yourself! When i phoned to request them i was told they could email me them in two weeks of fax them to me in 3 days. Perhaps they should look at their IT department!
You would think in this day and age it would be a simple matter for Ikea to simply put their instructions on the website. They are not the most detailed instructions, far from it, simplicity seems to rule at the center of the Ikea ideology. Sadly though, it seems the simple task of putting them in a box has eluded them.
I’m angry with IKEA. Does anyone have the instructions for a Leksvik desk?! I don’t want to drive the 40 miles back there after I’ve just come home to find the instructions missing. blech.
My sister got my daughter some bedroom furniture. They were excited it finally came and the drawers didn’t have the hardware or the instructions in the box.

I Bought a desk and some bookshelves from the Billy collection. My largest bookshelf didn’t come with instructions. At first I was upset, and then I realized that most of their furniture is pretty easy to build even without instructions. Every hole is placed in the perfect spot and is drilled at the perfect diameter. Most of the time, you can wing it if you have any kind of imagination. I still agree, that Ikea definately makes enough money to have instructions available online. Happy building!
Actually you can find many of them now at http://www.ikeafans.com it’s a great site, amazing gobs of IKEA related info and uber kitchen planning help ;-).

Hmm, as far as I know, there are no words, only pictographs.
